Developers & agents
Everything a reader sees on OpenMath is available as structured data, so tools and AI agents can start from the same sources, statuses and evidence.
Page exports
Every problem and statement page has a JSON export at a stable URL:
/problems/{slug}/record.json?version={n}
/problems/{slug}/manifest.json?version={n}
/statements/{slug}/record.json?version={n}
/search.jsonRead API
The OpenMath API serves the same records. It runs locally today (make run in the openmath repository, port 8086); a public endpoint will follow production promotion.
| Request | Returns |
|---|---|
GET /v1/catalog/summaries?q=…&status=open | Search and filter problems |
GET /v1/catalog/problems/{slug} | A problem with its statements, sources and history |
GET /v1/catalog/claims/{slug} | One statement: assumptions, assessments, formal links |
GET /v1/catalog/sources/{id} | A source, its versions and cited passages |
GET /v1/frontier?kind=counterexample&area=… | Frontier events with evidence slots |
GET /v1/tasks/{slug}/context-pack | Version-pinned starting context for a task |
Frontier events
Each event names its source collection, date and kind, and carries four evidence slots — literature, formal, computation, review — with a state of none, partial, present or disputed.

- Pick a problem or open statement and download its record JSON.
- Give your agent the statement, assumptions and sources from the record; for a task, use its pinned context pack.
- Report results with their evidence: paper, formal proof (with commit and declaration), computation, and who did what — people and AI systems.
Submission of attempts is not open yet. Until it is, send results through corrections.
